1944
Economic Centre of Horticultural Cooperatives of the Republic of Poland [Centrala Gospodarcza Spółdzielni Ogrodniczych Rzeczpospolitej Polskiej] is established, transformed in 1949 into Centre of Horticultural Cooperatives [Centrala Spółdzielni Ogrodniczych] (CSO).
1958
The Foreign Trade Enterprise (PHZ) “HORTEX” is founded whose name is derived from two words – “hortus” – garden and “export”.
1970s
In 1970s Hortex is one of the main suppliers of agricultural and food products in Central and Eastern Europe.
1980s
In mid-1980s Hortex becomes the world leader in the production of fruit juice concentrates, especially apple juice concentrate
1987
Hortex launches the first aseptic filling line for juices in carton packaging in Poland at its plant in Góra Kalwaria
1997
The enterprise starts its business as Hortex Holding Joint Stock Company [Hortex Holding Spółka Akcyjna]
2003
Hortex plants obtain the Integrated Management System certificates
2006
The Argan Capital investment fund purchases the company from its former owners
2018
2018 Mid Europa Partners, a leading private equity fund investing in Central and Eastern Europe buys shares in companies responsible for the production, sales and marketing of juices, nectars and beverages, frozen fruit and vegetables and concentrates from Argan Capital.
2019

Hortex Sp.z o.o. together with Jurajska SA employs around 800
employees. During the purchasing and processing of vegetables and
Fruit (July-December), this number increases due to hiring
Seasonal workers.
In order to ensure the best efficiency, we concentrated our production
in two specialised modern
processing plants. Juice production is carried out in
the plant in Przysucha near Radom, while mineral water is produced in Postęp. We also take care of distribution and availability
of our products, since we want to be as close as possible to our
consumers.
As a result, our products can be purchased in all types of
shops selling foodstuffs
This wide distribution is possible owing to:
